Feeling Bleu

For the past few months, I’ve become obsessed with bleu cheese, evidenced by the lovely wedge on this cheese plate.

When I was little, bleu cheese was one of the “stinky” cheeses, and I only ate those cheeses that didn’t smell.  Or, you know, the cheese that comes in a box of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese or individually wrapped in cellophane.  5 year olds are class acts when it comes to cheese.

As an adult, I broadened my cheese tastes, getting to know sharp cheddar and New York cheddar and muenster.  I was some what wary of bleu cheese, but it has slowly worked it’s way into my usual foods and restaurant orders.  I even buy it in bulk at Costco now!

Below are a few delicious looking recipes featuring bleu cheese – I can’t wait to make a few (and use up all this bleu cheese)!
